My Thoughts: The Lost Apothecary

Title: The Lost Apothecary

Author: Sarah Penner

Page Count: 301

After learning about her husband’s affair, our protagonist goes on a trip to clear her head and find herself. While abroad she finds a little glass vial and it takes her on an adventure through time to solve a 200-year-old mystery and reignite her lost passions.

My Thoughts:

From the moment I saw The Lost Apothecary cover in my monthly selections for Book of the Month, I was obsessed. This cover is absolutely beautiful and is still one of my favorites to this day. I automatically felt connected to Caroline, and her search to find herself again. I also love that Nella has marketed herself to help oppressed women in a time when that is not something that was taken seriously. The way that Sarah penned the story so Caroline is making strides forward while Nella’s world is falling apart is amazing.

My Rating:

Loved it. Will reread.
